Belgium, officially the Kingdom of Belgium, is a Western European country that is located on the North Sea and borders the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France. The country covers 30,528 km² and has a population of more than 11.6 million inhabitants (more than 6.7 million in the Flemish Region, 3.7 million in the Walloon Region and 1.2 million in the Brussels-Capital Region ). Brussels is the capital of Belgium and also the administrative center of the European Union and NATO.
